A modern, fast Magento storefront for a streetwear & sneaker boutique — a Hyvä (Tailwind + Alpine.js) rebuild replacing the heavy legacy Luma frontend.

Context.

The boutique needed to shed Magento's RequireJS/Knockout/jQuery weight for a fast, modern, visual storefront — without losing swatch-driven merchandising or Baltic-market checkout.

The build.

  • 01A custom Hyvä child theme with a full Tailwind JIT pipeline and modular component CSS.
  • 02~89 storefront templates, ~38 driven by Alpine.js — cart drawer, mega-menu, layered navigation, swatch pickers, wishlist — with no jQuery/Knockout on those views.
  • 03AJAX colour-variation blocks on product pages so shoppers browse colourways without reloads.
  • 04Custom parcel-locker shipping carriers (Omniva, Itella) with a cron-synced locations repository and a Select2 locker picker injected into checkout.
  • 05A one-step checkout (collapsing Magento's multi-step flow) with gift-card support.
  • 06Hyvä-compatible analytics (GTM/dataLayer) and layered navigation, plus a custom GraphQL wishlist extension.
